Very popular in Asia, but now also commonly used in Western Europe, botulinum toxin in specific dilutions can be injected in the superficial skin of specific facial areas in order to achieve a lifting effect of the face. This approach used to be called “microbotox”, but is now more appropriately termed microtoxin.
