Botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid filler injections are the most popular and frequently applied medical aesthetic treatments in the world today. Knowing how to assess the patient, how to choose the dosage, how to perform a controlled injection with needle or cannula and how to avoid complications are all essential to patient satisfaction and safety.

This course is intended for physicians with limited or no experience in aesthetic injectable procedures. If licensed in your country to independently perform these procedures, in some cases (prescribing) nurses or dentists could also apply.

Please note: in The Netherlands, nurses and dentists are not allowed to perform these procedures. Unfortunately, Dutch nurses or dentists will not be permitted to enter the course.

The textbook "Botulinum Toxin in Aesthetic Medicine" by Jani van Loghem serves as the theoretical reference work for the botulinum toxin part of this Master Course. 

Detailed instruction videos cover the assessment of the facial ageing process and essential injection techniques. Participants will test their knowledge by taking an online exam.
"Facial Filler Essentials Quick Reference Guide" by Jani van Loghem serves as the theoretical reference work for the soft tissue fillers part of this Master Course. This ebook version is part of your online learning materials.

During the practical hands-on training, delegates will fill in a form with indications that they would like to inject. The indications are ordered according to risk level; from basic, very low risk to highly advanced, high-risk treatments. This master course consists of the following:

Each participant will inject at least three indications per day. Our faculty will be scoring the technical skills using OSATS (Objective Structured Assessment of Technical Skills) forms, as is practised during medical specialisation training. All injections will be demonstrated and guided by our experienced faculty.
