about this course

The choice of PLLA for global facial rejuvenation is explained and highlighted depending on clinical needs in specific facial areas. The theoretical background of working with PLLA boosts the patient’s own collagen production is offered through an online study program. Participants will be able to access this on our digital learning platform:

personalized hands-on training

During the practical hands-on training, delegates have the opportunity to practice their injection skills under individual guidance. The indications are ordered according to risk level: from basic, very low risk to highly advanced, high-risk treatment areas. Not just skin quality improvement by subcutaneous injection is taught - also revolumization as well as retaining ligament and tissue tightening is explained in depth.

This course is intended for physicians with significant experience in aesthetic injectable procedures. If licensed in your country to independently perform these procedures, in some cases (prescribing) nurses or dentists could also apply.

Please note: in The Netherlands dentists are not allowed to perform these procedures and will not be permitted to enter the course.

theoretical training

The theoretical training part consists of detailed instruction videos that cover the assessment of the facial aging process and essential injection techniques. Participants who would like to test their knowledge are invited to take an optional online multiple-choice examination. Part of the theoretical training, are updated discourses presented by Jani van Loghem that will cover the following topics:

01  the history and science behind

The current understanding on how different tissues change with aging and suggestions for reversing those signs of aging.

02  age related anatomical changes

New trends in aesthetics and the current understanding of biostimulation and regenerative therapies.

03  prevention of vascular complications

04  the upper third of the face

05  the middle third of the face

06 the lower third of the face

07  alopecia and neck skin quality improvement

Each participant will inject at least three indications per day. Our faculty will be scoring the technical skills using OSATS (Objective Structured Assessment of Technical Skills) forms, as is practiced during medical specialization training.
