In our clinic, one treatment with regular doses of botulinum toxin in 3 regions (forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet) normally costs €450. As part of this study, you will receive a total of two regular doses in these 3 zones (value: €900). You will receive compensation for your participation, and the total fee for all treatment sessions will be reduced at €389 –that is approximately €98 per treatment visit.

Upon completion of the study, you will be rewarded with a €75 coupon, redeemable at our clinic for any treatment of your choice.
The research study consists of:
  • 1 screening visit
  • 4 treatment sessions (3 regions)
  • 1 follow-up visit
An advance payment of 60% of the total fee (€233,40) is required at enrollment.
To participate in the study you must be 18-65 years old and if eligible, you will be randomly assigned to one of the study groups:

study groups:

  • Group 1 (Control): Receives 2 regular doses and 2 placebo treatments.
  • Group 2 (Intervention): Receives 4 half doses.

Na afloop van het onderzoek krijg je een waardebon van €75 die je bij ons kunt inwisselen voor een behandeling naar keuze!
Het onderzoek bestaat uit:

Bij inschrijving vragen we een vooruitbetaling van 60% van het totaalbedrag (€233,40).
Om deel te nemen aan het onderzoek moet u tussen de 18 en 65 jaar oud zijn. Indien u in aanmerking komt, wordt u willekeurig toegewezen aan een van de onderzoeksgroepen:

ENG | To enroll in this study, you will make a financial contribution, which is significantly less than the standard clinic fees. Our aim is to advance cosmetic medicine through research and training and in return, as a participant, you'll receive a discounted treatment. Additionally, our perspective is that, even when partaking in a study, the decision to undergo cosmetic treatments should be well-thought-out and not solely motivated by the price reduction. We recommend you to discuss it with your family, friends and/or partner before enrolling.

Ons doel is om de cosmetische geneeskunde vooruit te helpen door middel van onderzoek en training en in ruil daarvoor krijgt u als deelnemer een behandeling met korting. Daarnaast zijn wij van mening dat, zelfs als je deelneemt aan een onderzoek, de beslissing om cosmetische behandelingen te ondergaan weloverwogen moet zijn en niet alleen gemotiveerd moet zijn door de prijsverlaging. We raden je aan om het met je familie, vrienden en/of partner te bespreken voordat je meedoet.

UMA Institute respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, store, and use your information for the Botox research study conducted by UMA Academy.

What data we collect
When you sign up to express interest in our Botox research, we collect:
  • Your full name
  • Your contact details (email address and/or phone number)
  • Date of birth
We do not collect any sensitive medical data via this form.

Why we collect it
We collect this data solely to:
  • Contact you about your interest in participating in the Botox research
  • Schedule and coordinate study-related visits
We will not use your information for any other marketing purposes.

How we store your data
  • Your data is collected via Mailchimp and ClinicMinds, which comply with international privacy standards (including GDPR).
  • After signup, your data is securely stored in a protected Dropbox folder accessible only to UMA’s research team.
  • We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access.


Data retention
If you are not eligible for the study, we will retain your information for a maximum of 12 months. You may request the deletion of your data at any time before that. To do so, email us at: research@uma-institute.com.
Upon inclusion in the study, your personal data will be kept for a period of 25 years. Your data will be pseudonymized and will not be linked to you upon data collection and publication of the results.

Third-party processors
We use Mailchimp to process your form submission. Mailchimp may store your data on servers outside the EU, but operates under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
We do not share your data with any other external parties.

Your rights
As a participant, you have the right to:
  • Access your data
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

Welke gegevens verzamelen wij?Wanneer je je aanmeldt om interesse te tonen in ons Botox-onderzoek, verzamelen wij:
  • Je volledige naam
  • Je contactgegevens (e-mailadres en/of telefoonnummer)
  • Je geboortedatum

We verzamelen via dit formulier geen gevoelige medische gegevens.

Waarom verzamelen wij deze gegevens?
Wij verzamelen deze gegevens uitsluitend om:
  • Contact met je op te nemen over jouw deelname aan het Botox-onderzoek
  • Afspraken en studiebezoeken te plannen en te coördineren.

Je gegevens worden niet gebruikt voor andere marketingdoeleinden.

Hoe slaan wij je gegevens op?
  • Je gegevens worden verzameld via Mailchimp en ClinicMinds, die voldoen aan internationale privacywetgeving (waaronder de AVG).
  • Na aanmelding worden je gegevens veilig opgeslagen in een beveiligde Dropbox-map, waar alleen het UMA-onderzoeksteam toegang toe heeft.
  • Wij nemen passende technische en organisatorische maatregelen om ongeautoriseerde toegang te voorkomen.


Bewaartermijn
Ben je uiteindelijk niet geschikt voor deelname, dan bewaren we je gegevens maximaal 12 maanden. Je kunt op elk moment eerder verzoeken om verwijdering van je gegevens via: research@uma-institute.com.
Word je wél opgenomen in het onderzoek, dan worden je gegevens gedurende 25 jaar bewaard. Je gegevens worden gepseudonimiseerd en zijn niet naar jou te herleiden bij de verwerking of publicatie van resultaten.

Externe verwerkers
Voor de verwerking van het formulier gebruiken we Mailchimp. Mailchimp kan gegevens opslaan op servers buiten de EU, maar valt onder het EU-VS Data Privacy Framework en hanteert standaardcontractbepalingen.
Wij delen je gegevens niet met andere externe partijen.

Jouw rechten
Als deelnemer heb je het recht om:
  • Inzage te krijgen in je gegevens
  • Correctie of verwijdering van je gegevens te vragen
  • Je toestemming op elk moment in te trekken
