ENG | UMA is investigating the effectiveness of two doses of botulinum toxin for reducing forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet. We compare the results of treatments with half a dose every two months with a regular dose every four months. Your participation not only helps improve cosmetic treatments, but also offers you the opportunity to experience them first.
NL | UMA onderzoekt de effectiviteit van twee doseringen botulinetoxine voor het verminderen van voorhoofdslijnen, fronslijnen en kraaienpootjes. We vergelijken de resultaten van behandelingen met een halve dosis om de twee maanden met een reguliere dosis om de vier maanden. Jouw deelname helpt niet alleen bij het verbeteren van cosmetische behandelingen, maar biedt je ook de kans om ze nu al te beleven.

Participation in this research involves being randomly assigned to one of the study groups:

study groups:

  • Group 1 (Control): Receive 2 regular doses and 2 placebo treatments.
  • Group 2 (Intervention): Receive 4 half doses.

  • Will ONLY undergo this study’s botulinum toxin treatment in these areas during the study.
  • Clinic visits every two months
  • Adhere to all study guidelines.

  • In good health.
  • No botulinum toxin or filler treatments in the target areas in the previous 6 months

To enroll in this study, you make a personal contribution, which is significantly less than standard clinic fees. Our aim is to advance cosmetic medicine through research and training. As a model, you'll receive discounted treatments. Offering free treatments would jeopardize research approval. Additionally, our perspective is that, even when partaking in a study, the decision to undergo cosmetic treatments should be well-thought-out and not solely influenced by price.

Om deel te nemen aan dit onderzoek betaal je een eigen bijdrage. Dit bedrag is aanzienlijk lager dan wanneer je een gelijke behandeling bij ons in de kliniek zou krijgen.Ons doel is om met de onderzoeksresultaten en de trainingen cosmetische geneeskunde naar een hoger niveau te tillen. Als model ontvang je korting op de behandelingen die worden uitgevoerd.  Wij bieden de behandelingen niet kosteloos omdat onderzoek dan niet wordt goedgekeurd door de medisch ethische toetsingscommissie. Daarnaast zijn wij van mening dat, ook bij deelname aan een onderzoek, het ondergaan van cosmetische behandelingen een weloverwogen keuze moet zijn die niet enkel gebaseerd is op prijs.
