Most research on beauty focuses on women. This study looks at how people view beauty in men. We want to find out whether fillers in the face affect how attractive or young a man looks.
For this study, we are looking for 20 healthy men between the ages of 18 and 65 that will receive a normal (standard) treatment with hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) fillers.
The study lasts at least 28 days and at most 76 days. The study includes three or four visits (see Figure 1).

Figure 1. Overview of study visits.
During the study, we will take 2D photos of your face and ask you to fill out questionnaires.
When all 20 participants have completed the study, we will show the before and after 2D photos to a group of 300 people. These people are not experts. They will not receive information about the treatment and they will not know who you are. They will judge how attractive you look and guess your age. If you have received the filler treatment yourself, you cannot take part in this assessment.
The opinions of this group of people, together with your own opinion, help us learn more about how people view attractiveness in men.
The results of this study will be used in a scientific publication. This will help us gain more knowledge about male beauty and improve future treatments for men.
