The periorbital wrinkles, or crow's feet, are probably the most requested toxin indication after the glabella. The orbicularis oculi muscle is a sphincter muscle that creates radially oriented wrinkles. The famous ophthalmologist Jean Carruthers pioneered aesthetic use of botulinum toxin after observing the reduction of periorbital wrinkles in her blepharospasm patients.
