Master Course

periorbital filler
& oculoplastic
anatomy

This unique Master Course is intended for a limited group of physicians who wish to improve their surgical and filler injection techniques for the periorbital and periocular areas. Prevention of live changing complications, for example blindness after filler injections, is our number one priority. Knowledge and deep understanding of the 3-dimensional anatomy is key in preventing complications. Real hands-on cadaver dissections and treatments can give the clinician the anatomical insights that cannot be attained by reading books or studying images and videos.

The theoretical part of this master course is provided by means of the Symposium Oculoplastic and Periorbital Filler Anatomy that will be held on 7 March 2025. Master Course delegates get free access to attend the Symposium.

The intensive hands–on training of this course will take place on 8 March 2025. Both days will be hosted in the beautiful Anatomiegebouw in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

about this course

After attending the Symposium for theoretical background and demonstration of anatomy and technique, you'll gain access to an intensive hands–on training by a multidisciplinary team of experts in the fields of periorbital anatomy, periorbital and periocular filler injections and oculoplastic surgery.

Understanding the correct safest treatment techniques will result in lower risk of complications. With both silicone heads as well as cadaver specimens, we dive deep into management of vascular filler complications. Really knowing the anatomy not only serves as the most valuable element of prevention of complications, but will be of the highest value in treatment of complications, should they occur. During this master course, we highlight both prevention and treatment of complications.

  • exclusive opportunity to train with the best in the field
  • hands–on training day including cadaver treatments
  • attendance to the symposium included

01  the latest academic insights

  • Expert presentations at the forefront of the developments
  • Live cadaver dissections highlighting periorbital filler anatomy
  • Live patient filler treatments of the periorbital and periocular areas
  • Live cadaver dissections highlighting surgical periorbital anatomy
  • Live cadaver surgery of the periorbital area
  • Autologous regenerative therapy for periorbital rejuvenation
  • Chemical blepharoplasty techniques with deep phenol peels
  • Regenerative aesthetic procedures for the periorbital area
  • New developments in the field of longevity medicine
  • Network with top experts in the field

02  cutting-edge techniques

  • The anatomy of the infraorbital hollow that exists of the palpebromalar groove, V-frame deformity and the tear troughs.
  • The sunken upper eyelids, also referred to as A-frame deformity or superior orbital sulcus
  • How you can create a nonsurgical canthal tilt improvement by treating the palpebromalar groove with fillers.
  • Anatomical layers and how the target depth for sunken upper eyelids is the preseptal, submuscular plane
  • How to create a single suture brow lift during a blepharoplasty
  • The SOOF lift for hiding orbital bone resorption
  • The current best techniques for canthopexia

A quick reference guide tailor made for this Master Course will serve as a further theoretical basis.

training program

Practical training is provided in the dissection room of the historical academic anatomy building in Utrecht, The Netherlands. During a comprehensive 1–day training program delegates will perform hands-on cadaver dissections for surgical as well as non-surgical periorbital rejuvenation. Our faculty will guide the delegates through the various steps in blepharoplasty techniques and filler injections techniques on fresh frozen cadaver specimens.

We will have fresh frozen cadaver specimens available for a very select group of two delegates per head. Delegates will have ample opportunity to practice the techniques.
