advanced CaHA, HA and hybrid techniques and v.o. management

combining CaHA, HA and hybrid fillers (for US providers) | including off label indications

This Master Course with Dr. Jani van Loghem and other UMA Academy faculty members is intended for all health care providers (HCPs) who are working with soft tissue fillers in the face and hands. Especially for US-based HCPs, due to availability of a limited product portfolio on the American market, we will be focusing on improving technical skills with Radiesse (Calcium Hydroxylapatite, CaHA) and Belotero Balance (Cohesive Polydensified Matrix, CPM Technology) and the unique attributes of combining them in facial rejuvenation.

This two-day hands-on master course will take place on 20 & 21 March 2025 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The theoretical background of working with Calcium Hydroxylapatite (Radiesse) and Belotero Balance + (CPM Technology) filler products is offered through an online study program. Participants will be able to access this on our digital learning platform.

  • access to an extensive online learning package
  • a unique opportunity to learn from from Dr. Jani van Loghem

course level: advanced

This course is intended for HCPs with significant experience in aesthetic injectable procedures. If licensed in your country or state to independently perform these procedures, physician assistants, (prescribing) nurses or dentists can enroll.
Each indication will be taught extensively in small groups of maximum 5 delegates per chair. Each group will have a different faculty member per round.

theoretical training

The theoretical training part consists of detailed instruction videos that cover the assessment of the facial aging process and essential injection techniques. Participants can test their knowledge by taking an online multiple choice examination. Part of the theoretical training, is an updated discourse presented by Dr. Jani van Loghem that will cover the following topics:

01  history and science of CaHA

Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA-CMC)'s essential knowledge. Learn about the development, properties and mode of action of CaHA-CMC Classic and CaHA-CMC (+).

02  clinical use of CaHA facial indications with low and moderate risk levels

Learn how to employ the power of CaHA-CMC. This discourse covers essential techniques in areas including the midface (cheeks), lower face (jawline) and infraoral areas (marionettes, chin).

03  clinical use of CaHA facial indications with high and very high risk levels

Learn how to employ the power of Radiesse. This discourse covers advanced techniques for direct correction of high risk areas ( temples, infraorbital area, nasolabial folds) and very high risk indications (forehead, brows).

04  clinical use of CaHA non-facial indications

Expand your treatment horizon. This discourse covers advanced techniques in areas beyond the face. The hands, referred to as the second face, as well as neck, décolletage and many more non-facial areas can be rejuvenated with CaHA-CMC.

05  rheological properties of HA balance (+) and facial indications

Expand your knowledge on the rheological properties of Belotero Balance (+) and how to use these properties to your advantage. Fine lines and wrinkles as well as infraorbital hollows are great indications for this product.

06 hybrids and combination strategies for CaHA and HA

Discover several strategies to combine both technologies to intensify their properties and boost results for optimal facial harmony.

07  vascular filler complications: management algorithms for HA and CaHA

Treatment algorithms for acute management after HA and CaHA vascular occlusions resulting in peripheral or retinal ischemia.

The Quick Reference Guide Mastery of Regenerative Aesthetics as well as the textbook Soft Tissue Fillers Complication Prevention and Management by Dr. Jani van Loghem serves as the theoretical reference work for this Master Course.

personalized hands-on training

During the practical hands-on training, delegates are invited to communicate the indications that they would like to inject. The indications are ordered according to risk level; from low risk, to moderate, high and very high risk areas. All injections will be demonstrated and guided by Dr. Jani van Loghem and other highly skilled UMA Academy faculty members. The two days of hands-on training consists of the following:
