Aging of the infraorbital area is associated with bone resorption of the infraorbital rim, especially in the lateral part. This may result in a depression of that area and associated lowering of the position of the lateral canthus. Correction of the palpebromalar groove is an especially powerful tool in natural rejuvenation, as evidence of aging is hidden.
